SHREE TALKIES is AGRA’S 1ST SCREEN WITH 2K DCI DIGITAL PROJECTION. 2K Projection installed at Shree Talkies is way ahead of the digital projection installed in any other cinema at Agra. Currently all the screens in Agra are part of Non DCI E-Cinema which works on MPEG2 or MPEG4 format of compression.

Internationally all screens are on D-Cinema using 2K DCI technology which is certified by body called DCI (Digital Cinema Initiative) and Shree Talkies is proud to announce that we too use same technology which is powered by Barco Projection and Qube Server, implemented and managed by E-City Digital Cinemas. It is 3D compatible & all Hollywood movies can also be screened with this 2K technology.

Digital Cinema Initiatives, (DCI) was created in March 2002, and is a joint venture of Disney, Fox, Paramount, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Universal and Warner Bros Studios. DCI's primary purpose is to establish and document voluntary specifications for an open architecture for digital cinema that ensures a uniform and high level of technical performance, reliability and quality control.
